Registration and the Policy of discounts, exemptions and other Benefits offered by the 12th Changwon International Congress Organizing Committee

You can already register for the 12th International Congress of Educating Cities "Green Environment, Creative Education", which will take place in Changwon (Republic of Korea) in April 26 to 28 2012, at the Congress portal.

Registration can be formalized online, by email or on the spot (at the Changwon Convention Centre during the celebration of the Congress).

In order to promote participation, the Organizing Committee offers the following exemptions and discounts:
  • Mayors and Deputy Mayors which lead a city delegation will be given the exemption of the registration fee. Moreover, the Committee will offer them Free Accommodation for 5 days (4 nights), hotel breakfast included.
  • Representatives from cities whose countries have a Gross National Income per Capita of 0-1000 US$ will not pay registration fees neither.
  • Those cities which register before February 20th will have a discount.
  • Workshop and poster presenters will be exempted from the registration fee.
  • 50% discount on the registration fee will be applied from the 2nd participant of a city.
Important: to register you should enter the certification code (ID) provided by the Organizing Committee to all member cities. Should you have any problem to remind your ID please contact the 12th IAEC Congress Team through registration@iaec2012.go.kr.

As a result of an agreement with Lufthansa Airlines, participants will be able to book flights with reduced prices. Further information here.

In addition, Organizing Committee offers free stands to those non Korean member cities willing to share their projects within the Congress exhibition space. As the number of stands available is reduced, they will be granted on a first-come first-served basis. The Accommodation Bureau of the 12th Congress has agreed special prices with several hotels. A list of these hotels is available here. For group reservation or further information please contact the Accommodation Bureau at: accommodation@iaec2012.go.kr

Important: when you book your hotel room online you will also be required to provide the identification (ID) code sent by the Organizing Committee.

  The territorial networks are groupings of cities in the same territory which have decided to work together on issues of common interest. Each network sets up its own organisation and operations in accordance with the statutes of the IAEC. They are coordinated by one of the cities in each network.
